How to get your kids to brush teeth
Motivating your kids to brush their teeth can be a challenge.
Sometimes they refuse to brush their teeth for a number of reasons.
Here are few tips on how to get your kid to brush teeth.

1. Set a good example
Young kids love to imitate parents’ behavior. Let your kids watch while you are brushing your teeth. Show them you are take care of your dental health seriously, and it is a part of daily routine, so they will start to brush their teeth.
2. Let them choose flavour of toothpaste
Most adults are used to the taste of toothpaste and the flavour they prefer to use. Same as children. Give them to choose their personal taste.
Sometimes, toothpaste flavours can be a kind of motivation for children to brush their teeth. There were variety of flavours such as strawberry, chocolate.
They might use up their current toothpaste, so they can try other flavour.
3. Create a reward
Sometimes kids just need a little reward so that they will have motivations to brush teeth.
You can create a sticker chart, and have your children to pick a sticker after they brush their teeth.
For kids under of eight, you may reward them a funny bedtime story. For older children, a good reward might be an episode of favourite movie. This reward can convince your kids to brush teeth every day!
4. Open their favourite song
Although brushing teeth only takes 2 minutes, but for kids 2 minutes can become an hour of longer when they refuse to brush their teeth.
Parents can play their favourite song, so that it may help the time fly.
5. Try to make toothbrushing fun
Children love to play games. You could turn toothbrushing into a game for kids.
By make up a story and tell them toothbrush turns them into a superhero that can fight off sugar bugs. It makes every toothbrushing sessions become interesting.
6. Tell them story about ‘sugar bugs’
When children refuse to brush teeth, you may explain to them it may causes tooth decay by showing them sugar bugs, so that they will know that how important of brushing teeth.
